The 3rd round of the TYRO Buggy Nationals was held at DRT (Dartford Race Track) in the South East of England, again some of the competitors who have entered would not have looked out of place at the BRCA ‘A’ Buggy Nationals it was almost guaranteed that this would be another successful and exciting meeting! Marc Knight secured TQ closely followed by Keith Robertson and Jess Saunders who now was sporting a HoBao covered in JQProducts upgrades. Marc, Keith and Jess were all fighting for 1st 2nd and 3rd for the 1st half of the race with Keith Robertson edging ahead of the battle that Marc and Jess were having until lap 21where Jess appeared to have missed the timing Loop dropping him down to 6th place. Shortly after at lap 23

Marc’s engine cut allowing Richard Palmer and Neil Saunders to catch up to 2nd and 3rd. Jess and Marc were both making up ground and now also with Scott Micheal it was a close race for 2nd and 3rd. Jess, Marc and Scott all fought it out for the last 16 laps of the race until time was called and race was over. With jess having an issue about the missed lap Jess Took the option of Raising a protest that comes inline with setion 14b of the BRCA Handbook that states

Protests must be made within 5 minutes of the publication of the results in question. The protest period of 5 minutes commences when the results are published on the Results Board and announced as such.

In Conjuction with A statment Made By Marc Knight That Jess had infact Passed Marc around Lap 21 and which was also substantiated By a number of drivers that had agreed Jess Should have been in 2nd Place, inline with the Protests Procedure the Missing Lap was awarded along with Second Place. The final Results were:

1: Keith Robertson 44/30m 33.11
2: Jess Saunders 43/30m 12.78
3: Scott Micheal 43/30m 31.79
