Re: 10th Kyosho Masters ‘08

12:14 am News, Race Reports, Snaps

We drove the ferry onto French soil and the first thing I had to ask Mike was… Which side of the road do you overtake on?

After 4 hours driving 30 minutes that was not needed but that’s what happens when you follow Mike Cradock’s Sat Nav (or shall I say T%@T NAV) we arrived at our hotel. I managed to get a quick nap before my alarm was waking me up again ready for our first look at the track.

After a quick stop at FDL France and a very interesting look at the brand new MP9 very close up (I did ask myself several times if I could make it outside the door with it) We arrived at the track and my breath was taken back, wow what a track it had everything! Wood, clay, astro, concrete corners big jumps and small jumps and even flowers on the pit ramp!!!

The track was slightly damp but if we were going to have the dry hot weather predicted this track was going to get dusty and very loose very quickly. M2 and M3 Crime Fighters and Bowties were the main choice but some of the Europeans had some very strange choice of tyres.

There was going to be 3 classes of drivers, League, Expert and Elite for Buggy however only the one for the

Truggy which meant every skill of driver would have a chance to win something. The starting pace for many was a medium 7 laps with some of the Elite doing a slow 8 laps and the rest of Elite banging in 9 laps WOW.
