We decided to drive down Sat afternoon to set up our Gazebo and have a quick look at the track and I must say the track looked AWESOME. However, after a good nights sleep we awoke on Sunday morning and it had been raining all night long. How was this going to affect the track I was wondering? Upon arrival I was shocked to see no puddles or standing water but the track was going to be muddy for a while. During drivers briefing Adrian announced that there was going to be 1 round of practice followed by 4 rounds of qualifying with your best two scores to count. With the rain still falling and the track getting muddy not many drivers took the option of going out for their practice. Kyosho MP9

The Kyosho MP9 was first shown to the public at the 10th Kyosho Masters a few months ago. However due to a no photos policy, and the fact it wasn’t shown without its shell off we could not get any photos. Since then Kyosho have released their official photos of the MP9 which left a lot of people feeling confused about what had actual changed. One of the RCSnaps team was lucky enough to see the Kyosho MP9 in bits at FDL/Kyosho France and was pleased to report it was completely different! Nothing would be carried over from the Kyosho MP777.

RCSpecial managed to get some photos of one of the Kyosho Works Team Driver’s car in bits which shows how much has actually changed, and how Kyosho have managed to get the weight of the MP9 to just over the legal weight. Read more…

We drove the ferry onto French soil and the first thing I had to ask Mike was… Which side of the road do you overtake on?

After 4 hours driving 30 minutes that was not needed but that’s what happens when you follow Mike Cradock’s Sat Nav (or shall I say T%@T NAV) we arrived at our hotel. I managed to get a quick nap before my alarm was waking me up again ready for our first look at the track.

The second annual Novarossi GP was held over the weekend of the 6th and 7th of October at the Novarossi Raceway in Essex. The event was arguably the biggest one eighth off road event in the UK during 2007and played host to some of the best drivers from the UK, Europe and America. From Europe came Joern Neuman and his pitman Gerd Strenge from Serpent and from Sweden Lars Nordin attended with a string team that included Robert Gustafson and Henrik Nilsson.
